Caregiver Stress

Personal

Caring for a loved one with a serious illness can be stressful, and at times it can feel overwhelming. Being someone else's primary support can leave you feeling like you don't have the time or energy to take care of your own needs. Therapy can provide a safe place in which to express the full range of your thoughts and feelings and a way to get the support you need in order to stay strong in your caregiver role.

Professional

Helping and healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, therapists, and social workers fill important roles in the lives of the patients and clients they help. In today's work environment, however, many such professionals suffer from burnout or compassion fatigue. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings and understand the nature of the stresses that our current system places on the human beings at its core. Together, we can find ways to manage stress, reduce burnout, and give you the care you need to function in a caring, fulfilling, and sustainable way.
